Description
ENG : Private commission. The customer asked me to paint he and his girlfriend as a surprise gift for her 40th birthday. When she opened the present she said to him : "You made us immortal.. That painting will live on long after we do... with our grandkids and their grandkids looking up at us"
I was deeply touched and indeed moved to tears by what she said...That is a very beautiful compliment. The greatest I ever been paid for my work in my whole life. 
FR : Commande privée. Le client m'avait demandé de le peindre avec sa petite amie car il voulait lui offrir ce tableau comme cadeau surprise à l'occasion de ses 40 ans. Quand elle ouvert le paquet, elle lui a dit : Tu nous a rendu immortels. Cette peinture demeurera bien après que nous ayons disparu et nos petits-enfants et arrière-petit-enfants pourront nous regarder". J'ai été ému jusqu'aux larmes en lisant ces mots. C'est le plus beau compliment que l'on ne m'ait jamais fait sur mon travail de toute ma vie
